Konexio launching the Training of Trainers for first cohort of DIP students in Jordan

It’s official! Konexio is pleased to announce the successful launch of its training of trainers program with our longstanding partner, Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS). Now in the Middle East, Konexio is excited to extend our Digital Inclusion Program (DIP) to those in need in Amman, training refugee and Jordanian youth in digital skills and online freelancing. JRS trainers, Dima, Noor, and Dania will participate in Konexio’s intensive ToT course from July through mid September in preparation for our first student cohort launch at the end of September.

The JRS trainers will become the link between the students and the digital world-exponentially enhancing their digital skills and improving their opportunities for better social and professional livelihoods.

“The factor that drew me to the [digital freelancing] training the most is the desire to see the disadvantaged in society tap into digital and digitally enabled opportunities and be able to earn a decent wage,'' said Dima, JRS IT trainer. “Through freelancing training, the students will be empowered, and have the ability to earn a decent wage in the freelancing economy and lead better lives.”

Now in Amman, our sixth location, Konexio will continue to boost prosperity by providing an entry point to life changing opportunities for safe and dignified employment. Many thanks to the JRS administration who have been instrumental in the launch and to the trainers, who through their skillset and the projected results of the training, will provide Jordanian youth and refugees with the necessary tools and skills to thrive in the growing digital economy.
